We’re Neda and Dino, and we opened Nika Designs to combat the rise in fast fashion that we see impacting true artisanal crafts such as leather work. We decided to offer our valued customers a way to ensure prized leather pieces stand the test of time, not only for their aesthetics but also as a more environmentally friendly option. 

Keeping Up With Tradition

Nika, named after our daughter, has been operating since 2007 - but our love affair with this material and style started long before that. Tradition really is at the heart of what we do - our hammer was made by a man who has been making the exact same hammer for the last 300 years. Our Singer sewing machine is over 100 years old too! With roots in Sweden, Iran, Italy, and Canada, we’ve learned so many traditions and styles that really shine through in our work and imported retail products.
